Covid-19 Update

To all of our clients at Pine Tree Veterinary Hospital:

Thank you for your support and understanding in these uncertain times. In an effort to still offer quality care while maintaining the health and well being of our staff and clients we will no longer be performing in-hospital exams but instead drop off and curbside check-ins. We are not scheduling annual exams, annual vaccinations for adult animals, or grooming for any animals unless medically urgent. The current stance is that companion animals cannot be infected with the corona virus but they can be fomites (act as a mechanical vector) and transmit it to other people much as the handle of a grocery cart might.

How will this work?

To make an appointment please call or email us.

PLEASE REMAIN IN OR NEAR YOUR CAR AND CALL US TO TELL US YOU HAVE ARRIVED. ALL DOGS MUST HAVE AN APPROPRIATELY ATTACHED LEASH/COLLAR/HARNESS AND ALL CATS AND OTHER PETS MUST BE IN CARRIERS. WE WILL ATTACH A SECOND SLIP LEASH AS A SAFETY MEASURE TO PREVENT YOUR DOG FROM RUNNING INTO TRAFFIC.

A staff member will meet you at the curb after you unload your pet to bring him/her inside. We will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in the form of gloves, gowns, and masks. Once your pet is inside the doctor will perform an exam and call with findings and any treatment recommendations. We will call you prior to returning your pet to you to collect payment via card over the phone. We will also be accepting cash which will be given to a staff member when returning your pet.

Medication and prescription food: Refills on medications during this time will be approved for existing patients that may be overdue for their annual physical exam for the next 2 months, this may change depending on circumstances. As long as the clinic is open, we ask that you call the clinic when you arrive instead of walking in. We'll take payment over the phone, and then an employee will bring the medications to your car. If you cannot leave your house we can ship the medication to you (additional shipping fees will apply). Again, thank you for accepting our 24-hour turnaround policy for prescriptions.

Please reach out by phone or email if we can be of help. Wishing you health and safety, always!
